City of Brandon Establishes New Ambulance Service
Brandon, MS – The Board of Aldermen have approved a contract with Pafford Emergency Medical Services to provide ambulance services within the City of Brandon.
In a statement released by Brandon Mayor Butch Lee, “Pafford EMS was chosen through a Request for Proposals (RFP) process whereby public and private sector organizations within the community evaluated, discussed and made recommendations. The contractual partnership with Pafford EMS will provide all residents an improved, reliable ambulance service working with our emergency medical personnel within our fire department. Additionally, Pafford EMS is making a commitment to improve services provided to our local private health care facilities. On behalf of our Board of Aldermen and residents, we recognize Pafford EMS as a quality health care provider and welcome them to our community.”
The new ambulance service will deploy units equipped to deliver advanced life support directly at the scene along with company medics that function under the supervision of an EMS-qualified physician. Following the state’s approval of the new ambulance service in Brandon, Pafford EMS will begin official operations within the coming weeks.
